In 2024, Lachmee Chin launched her own firm, LCD Studios, marking a significant milestone in her career. With a deep-rooted passion for design, she focuses on connecting spatial elements to curate meaningful environments that resonate with her clients. Her approach encompasses not just aesthetics but also functionality, integrating art, lighting, and furniture in a harmonious way. Chin believes that design is a narrative; each space tells a story that reflects the personalities and needs of those who inhabit it. By fostering collaboration with her clients, she ensures that their visions come to life, creating spaces that are both inviting and inspiring. Lachmee Chin's journey began after graduating from Florida International University, where she was recruited to establish an interior design division for a burgeoning architecture firm. She served as the lead interior designer at ODP Architecture and Design for many years before being promoted to Design Director. Her unwavering commitment played a key role in transforming the firm into a highly regarded full-service architecture and design team, collaborating with prestigious firms like Zaha Hadid Architects and Foster and Partners. After 18 years, she left with lasting friendships, numerous awards, and extensive publications. Although not mathematically inclined, she firmly believes that "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."
